COLICO – Inaugurato oggi il Roccolo di Fuentes, il recupero arboreo e il riutilizzo dell’area destinata un tempo alla cattura di uccelli che ora, all’interno del comprensorio del Forte di Fuentes, è diventato un museo all’aria aperta con le spiegazioni di come funzionava il roccolo e le sue funzioni. Ma nello spazio, che rappresenta un unicum di architettura green, sono stati ricavati un’area pic-nic e un’area relax per depurarsi dopo le fatiche lavorative.
All’inaugurazione erano presenti il sindaco di Colico Monica Gilardi, il delegato provinciale Davide Ielardi, il consigliere regionale Raffaele Straniero, il presidente del Lions Club Riviera Giannino Castiglioni, il presidente della Riserva del pian di Spagna Roberto Vignarca e il presidente del Museo della Guerra Bianca Walter Belotti.
Il sindaco Gilardi ha sottolineato l’importanza di aver sempre più spazi per accogliere al meglio i turisti ma anche per i residenti che possono godere di quest’area gratuitamente grazie alla convenzione con il Museo, mentre Ielardi, che ha portato il saluto della presidente provinciale Hoffman ha sottolineato che “la Provincia ha creduto in questo rilancio alcuni anni fa e oggi i risultati sono sotto gli occhi di tutti”. Il consigliere regionale Straniero ha ricordato “che con un bando regionale si è potuto rimettere a nuovo il roccolo che da diversi anni non è più in funzione ma che è sempre stato conservato dal Museo per evitare che venisse assorbito dal bosco perdendo un patrimonio storico e culturale di grande valore”.
Castiglioni dei Lions ha messo in evidenza “il valore di queste iniziative, come Lions una decina di anni fa abbiamo dato il nostro contributo all’apertura del forte di Fuentes e oggi siamo orgogliosi di dare il nostro supporto a questo progetto”. Il Lions Vitaliano Canclini ha parlato tecnicamente dei roccoli e portato la sua esperienza ricordando episodi eccezionali come quello di un “pettirosso catturato a Colico, inanellato e che dopo venti giorni è stato ricatturato in Algeria”.
Progetto che piace anche alla Riserva come ha sottolineato Vignarca: “Vogliamo una collaborazione sempre più stretta con Colico e con i forti perché abbiamo insieme un grande potenziale turistico”. Per il presidente del Museo Belotti è stata l’occasione per ricordare un percorso iniziato nel 2008 e che “ha dato grandi soddisfazioni al Museo e al territorio. Quando vado in qualche ristorante o bar trovo persone che ci ringraziano per l’attività svolta e per i turisti contenti che vedono il patrimonio eccezionale di cui dispone Colico da Fontanedo a Montecchio passando oggi anche per il Roccolo di Fuentes”.
Il responsabile dei Forti Stefano Cassinelli ha infine voluto ringraziare le guide che “sono il biglietto da visita dei forti, quando leggo le recensioni su Tripadvisor sono orgoglioso dei ragazzi e delle ragazze che accolgono i turisti e gli regalano la loro passione”.
