Grande successo e partecipazione per il Service “Il mese della prevenzione”, con screening sanitari gratuiti organizzati da lions club Sant’Agata Militello. Dopo i fortunati screening gratuiti per la vista e per la prevenzione del diabete, il lions club Sant’Agata Militello, presieduto dal dott. Umberto Musarra, insieme a tutti i componenti del direttivo e ai soci, ha organizzato per tutto il mese di giugno visite sanitarie gratuite. I potenziali pazienti potranno effettuare gratuitamente, previa prenotazione al numero di cellulare: 388 6006847 e alla mail: Musarraumberto@katamail.com, i seguenti screening eseguiti dai medici: 
Diabetologico: Analisi cliniche 
Ginecologico: (Visita, ecografia, Pap test): Dott. Umberto Musarra
Oculistico: Dottoressa Maria Celsa, Dott. Salvatore Amata
Cardiologico: (Visita, ECG): Dott. Aldo Merlino, Dottoressa Maria Miceli. 
Nei giorni precedenti sono stati già posti in essere controlli ginecologici a cura del dott. Musarra e cardiologici a cura del dott. Merlino coadiuvati dall’infermiera Maria Scolaro e dall’ ostetrica Cettina Pedalà.
“La prevenzione – afferma il presidente Umberto Musarra, già primario del reparto di Ostetricia e Ginecologia dell’ospedale di Sant’Agata Militello) – è fondamentale per prevenire l’insorgere di patologie. All’insegna dell’etica lionistica incentrata sul motto del “We serve” siamo il mondo di cui ci prendiamo cura”. Dello stesso avviso il collega medico, cardiologo, membro del direttivo del sodalizio di servizio, Aldo Merlino, già primario del reparto di Cardiologia dell’ospedale di Sant’Agata, che mette a disposizione del prossimo la propria professionalità ed insieme a tutti i componenti del Club esorta la popolazione ad effettuare i controlli.
